Biometrics laboratory in IUST has been established and equipped in 2013. Two major datasets has been captured in this laboratory with standard protocol conditions: firstly, general multi-biometric dataset contains multi-biometrics features of more than 550 people including 32 IRIS Image per eye, 5 finger image per finger, 13 face images with different face angle and some other features such as weight, height and age. Second dataset is twins datasets; It contains similar features for 50 pair f twin persons, some are homologous and others are bob-homologous twins. Furthermore, several research has been conducted in this lab base on the last research interest of biometrics literature, including fusion of multi-biometrics for normal persons and twins, IRIS recognition novel methods, face recognition according to deep-learning and so on.
